Ships are safe in the harbor...but that is not what ships are made for.

Disclaimer:

Don't let the daisy's fool ya! I am not running for office, nor do I teach a Sunday school class. We started this blog to document our family's adoption journey...a journey that is by no means filled with cotton candy and unicorns. It is fueled 100% by love, but I am learning that it is very HARD...every day...and this blog is my therapy I guess...like I have time to go to a real shrink! If your tender ears are offended by my occasional rant or a few Bible curse words here and there...this probably isn't the blog for you.

I won't lie..I want this camera bad...

Fundraising Giveaway:

Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 3-Inch LCD and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

So...if you look over to your right you will see a precious little boy named John Wesley.  He is currently in an orphanage in China and his mamma and daddy are fundraising to bring him home to be a part of their family forever.  They are doing a fundraiser giveaway for the above camera. This is sucha dream camera...I WANT IT SO BAD!!! But I can't be greedy...more than the camera - I want little JW to be home with his family as son as possible.  SO...click on the picture of JW and check out their family blog and donate for your chance to win the camera. You get two entries for each $5 you donate.

You just go to their website and click on the chip-in button and pay via Paypal...super fast and easy.

FYI: For those of you that aren't familiar with the whole adoption fundraising giveaway thing and think this is something similiar to the most recent Nigerian money laundering scam...IT'S NOT!  This is a very common thing in the adoption community and a great way to raise needed funds.  I have personally won things from the giveaways. Usually a friend or family member will donate the high ticket item to the family in order for them to use it for a giveaway.
Yes, if you go over there and donate it greatly decreases MY chances to win the camera ...but I can't be greedy here!  They are also selling some cool Ugandan necklaces and Goat Soap.  Just check out their blog, clisk on the tab marked John Wesley, learn a little more about him and if you feel moved, chip in a little and help them out.  Simple as that.

Thanks!
